Photographer's Note
The Transept Trail is a recently opened trail running about 3.5 miles from a relatively small trailhead (holding 5-7 cars) on Verde Valley School Road to the Hiline Trail in the Coconino National Forest. It's on the west side of the ridge west of Bell Rock in Oak Creek (just south of Sedona). This photo was taken facing south during the return portion of my hike.
In the current COVI-19 pandemic, the Mayor of Sedona has pleaded with people not to visit the city or hike/bike/ride the trails through the famous red rocks.
ISO 200, 1/1250 second at f/13, 16mm focal length
