Photographer's Note

The Anhinga or Snake Bird is a water bird of the warmer parts of the Americas.
A dark plumaged piscivore endowed of a very long beak, often shimming underwater and exposing only head and bill for fishing; hence its commonly adopted second name.
It has to stand in the sunny beauty salon after fishing to get dry, unlike ducks who are able to waterproof thenselves by means of the uropygial gland.

The female Anhinga always wears a brown getup and in turns, he and she go fishing to feed the chicks.

Borrowed camera for the circomstance.
