Photographer's Note
"Virginia is for lovers" so they say, but did they mean: Lovers of great scenery, nature, beaches, etc.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is certainly worth the extra time. It isn't as fast as I-81 but the scenery is amazing and if you're lucky you just might get to see some of these old buildings.

I know this place.. It belonged Orlena Puckett, who was a midwife that delivered over 1,000 babies and had 24 herself. It is said her fee was one dollar, but that she often took food or some other goods in place of money. ... The pic you present shows the place well, though like some of my own, the sun wasn't on your side at this time.

Thank you Monsieur Paul Legros, for your note. I wanted to visit parts of Virginia, now I know I should take the Blue Ridge Parkway and not the I-81. My mom is from Wytheville VA, she called the mountains around us the Blue Ridge Mountains, and now, on trekearth, with nmss I learn there are also the Appalaches, and I want to see the Shenandoah Valley for my ancestor John Singleton Mosby, the Grey Ghost, who rode those regions back and forth during the confederate war. If you have an advice to give me to where to drive, on a two-three days drive?
Mostly welcome, langaloo de paris, France
