Photographer's Note
Flying back from my Hawaii trip, leaving L.A. and after just a few minutes in the air, looked out the window to see this awesome sight!. The first range could have been the High Sierras...but this mountainous bowl , I was unsure. The southern tip of the Rockies?...Continental Divide? San Juans?..I know we were flying in a more southern path than Colorado.
Unusual perspective, I thought....the 767 window was surprisingly clean.

Hi Terry,
I came upon your photos because you are a featured artist today and I can see why!! From Portrait to shot out the window of the airplane, The focus in each of your photos is very sharp; your excellent light management gives you great color and detail. I selected this one because it's amazing to me that you could frame such a perfect shot from an airplane window. As a skier I'm going to guess that road is 395 out of Bishop and disappearing just before the ski resort of Mammoth Lakes, Californina. The chain of mountains moves up through Yosemite, (Tioga Pass is north of Mammoth Lakes) then to Lake Tahoe, although 395 drops into the Nevada desert on the Eastern side of the Sierras and you have to take a side road back into the Tahoe ski areas like Kirkwood. Anyway, it is amazing shot; I must differ with Verge, when each of your shots is so good, it's WAY more than luck!
Regards, Pat
