Photographer's Note
These doors caught my eye. They are part of two row houses on a small, private street in the Greenwich Village area.
Many of the houses on this street, called Washington Mews, have different exterior designs, colors and textures. They were originally 1790's stables that were converted to apartments.

I like it! Always did like door photos. The twisted ivy links them together in this simple shot. Nice choice, Brenda. Andrew

Nice compo.
Like the sphere and the warm colours.
The picture could also have beek taken in France.

Hello Brenda,
I loved these soft color doors. I'm always interested in the shots of closed doors, so you can make up your own story behind. And here, you had a nice capture with good lighting and colors. TFS. Regards,

Hi Brenda,
Thanks for your comment/critique. I've passed through this area of NYC a few times, but I never knew the history behind it until I read your insightful note.
You have a very interesting subject and excellent composition. I wonder if a little enhancement in PS might help...I'll try a workshop in a little bit.

Hi, Brenda,
This is such a cool shot. The doors are so similar and yet not. It's like one of those "can you find the differences in these two pictures"? It's a really interesting photo. I love that twisting vine through the ivy and the soft muted colors.. Just a REALLY neat shot and TFS, Shelly

Hi Brenda,
Really nice shot and very interesting comment too. There's really a European feel to it, you couldn't tell it was taken in New York! I like the different styles of the two doors, too bad they're not more colorful.

Hello Brenda,
I like the way the ivy is separating the two doors. The doors share a common wall yet look totally different from one another. Like the door knocker on the blue door. Well composed with lovely red and blue.

Hi Brenda,
Could have fooled me, this looks like something straight from Europe! Beautiful side by side doors, I wouldn't expect to see something like this in NYC!? Another reason I so enjoy the local perspective, you're able to see things that are missed by most tourists. I've only been able to spend a quick afternoon in the Village and have always wanted to go back...I'm sure there's much more to it than I was able to take in, and this is a good example. Well spotted and presented. Thanks for sharing this 'unique' view. Have a great week ahead.
All the best,
Jason
