Incredible shot, Steven. I'm always amazed by the surprises of Nature - and you've captured this one in a remarkable way. I like the framing and the composition, yielding a beautiful abstract. Regards, Daniel

Good one Steven! I travelled a long way to get there a couple of yeards ago, but got home without any useable pictures, the light was no good. I see you were able to do a lot better.

I like the form with the flowing lines of the hills. The colours are spectacular. Scanning Velvia 50 is notoriously difficult and I suspect the white spots on the image come from that and possibly over sharpening.
It is still a well seen image.

Hi Steven,
A nice graphical picture and very good framing, amazing shapes and colors, the fact we can see neither sky nor people leads to think this view could come from another planet, very nicely done.
Have a nice day,
Jean-Yves

Hi Steven,
This is a very nice series of abstract shots that you have from Painted Hills. This one really looks like some kind of painting with these lines of various colors.
I know I've said this before, but I think that there's something that you're doing to your photos during PP (either sharpening or compression or mixture of both) that's degrading the overall quality of your images and it's too bad.

Hi Steven,
Those hills are just full of surprises ! This one really looks like a paint, maybe even more than the rest of your pictures about the Painted Hills.
Nothing else to say. I just love it !

Steven
Your cropping to concentrate on the hills only and no sky has produced a remarkable abstract image. Your collection of images from this area are truely superb.

Now this is an excellant peice because of its abstract appeal, well executed composition although some wkite spots seem to be present on my screen. An amazing geological formation that I would be pleased to see great image
