Photographer's Note

A Malayan Sun Bear taking his nap in a tree. Sun Bears roam the rain forests of Southeast Asia. The smallest bears in the world, adult males only stand about 4 feet tall. This shot was taken at the St. Louis MO. Zoo. The St. Louis Zoo is a world class zoo that exhibits their animals in very natural settings. This allows you to take some excellent photographs of exotic animals as you might see them in the wild.
Post processing in photoshop consisted of auto levels, and some sharpening, with a slight boost in the contrast.

I love the expression on this guys face. "Hurry up and take my pic before I continue my nap"
Beautiful bear. I love the different tones of brown on the bear and the trees ,it gives a very organic feel. Nice Shot!

I like this shot!
Timing means everything. Looks like he was basking in the sun and his back leg looks like it's dangling for balance. Nice post.
