Photographer's Note
Chasm Falls - Old Fall River Road - Rocky Mountain National Park.
Fall river road is a one lane dirt back road up to the Alpine Visitor Center on Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was the old ascent over the continental divide in the early days of the park. Now it is one way only (up) and only open a few months of the year.
Chasm Falls is one of the main sites just off the road. It is a short but steep walk from the roadside down to the falls. I have a hard time seeing this image without remembering the narrow path .. Rachel and I trying to keep our two daughters from doing silly dangerous things on the path and trying to find room to get the tripod up while keeping the girls alive and being jostled from the army of tourists. I did get lucky in that usually these falls are being crawled on by a few folks ..
In all the commotion I forgot to use the self timer and have been struggling with a slight jiggle on this ... I think I have finally come as close as I have the skills to be able in terms of sharpening it.

Hi John,
Nice new work. Are you having another camera, is that what I see? I saw first a ViviCam (whatever that is?) with the other shots. Now I see a Oly E-300!
Good POV and composition, having this waterfall at a position slightly to the right of the center, and the water coming to the front of the shot. Nice details on the rocks and good colours. The sharpness is okay, indeed the best thing next time would be to use the self timer. Maybe an aperture between F8 and F11 would also be a good idea, just try it out.
The effect on the waterfall due to the longer exposure is pretty. Nice dynamics.
Well done.
Greetings,
Emiel.

Hi John,
Lovely waterfall it appear there is a long crashing down. The bits of green contrast nicely with the white falls. A real wilderness beauty.
