Forest Window II

Deer Mountain Trail, Rocky Mountain National Park.

The mountain here is Fairchild Mountain (elevation 13502 feet .. 4115 meters)

Ruthlessly Pasted from the Previous Post:

One of our traditional and favorite haunts this time of year is the Deer Mountain Trail. It is low enough that it is free of snow earlier than most of the high mountain trails .. It sits in a central location in the park and has wonderful dramatic peak views in all directions .. Mountains that I normally view as in "different sections" of the park are all viewable from this trail. Often a hot and dusty place in the summer today it was a wonderful cool breezy Spring walk through the Rocky mountains ..
