Fast Approaching Storm

Sprague Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park

This is a photoshop created stitch of four images.

Typically all summer long there is an afternoon thunderstorm in Rocky Mountain National Park .. This one arrived early .. I knew it was coming .. which is why I opted for this short nature stroll in the first place .. I had hoped to arrive early enough to get some reflections of these peaks along the continental divide .. just to tease me there were some enclosed areas along the North and South shores that were still (the peaks are to the West) .. So instead I tried to pull of this long exposure panorama.

Sprague is a popular lake .. it has a wonderful large picnic area and a wheel chair accessible mile loop around it .. it becomes very crowded in summer ...
