One year on Trek Earth

Road to the Fern Lake Trail
Rocky Mountain National Park

One year ago I joined TE. I want to thank all of you for making it such a wonderful time; for your friendships; for the beauty of your work; and through your thoughts and images for making me a much better photographer. Thank you all so so much.

I have posted images from this place before .. It is my favorite autumn place. Here is my theme of this trail. Actually the road to the trail head is perhaps an even more beautiful autumn place than the trail itself. The parking lot at the Fern Lake trail head is small .. I actually prefer to park one lot back up the road and walk the first mile of the road through these groves ..

This promises to be one of the most crazy, disrupted, stressful, and difficult years I have ever faced. This place is such an anchor of calm and beauty for me .. thank you all for making it that .. I am sure it will continue to be in the future.

First of all, congratulations to your first year on TE !
İt's great, many of us, living on quite different parts of the globus have gotten quite familiar with each other, and share our "products" together wirh nice info's which may be not found in any lexicons !
This capture from Estes Park is really a "celebrational" shot. Great autumny colors and very nice compo. Perfect sharpness as well.

We all need shelter sometimes, and desolation in nature can be indeed a good solution to build up your mind again and again. Your favourite shelter is no exception, i also need such a place these days. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Wow! Fabulous!

The compo is very well done, as usual and the colours are absolutely stunning - even the shadows seem to shine! The blue of the sky makes a beautiful contrast and I like also that snowed peak well famed by the Autumn foliage.

I got so enthusiastic that I almost forgot to congratulate you for your anniversary: congratulations and thank you for the good moments you gave me with your writings and your fabulous American landscapes. I hope you are wrong in your bad feelings about the times that await you we can enjoy the company of each other for much more time.

Congratulations on being here a year and getting so many points. Again, the fall colors are stupendous and the using of the road as a leading line and the mysterious curve at the end is a good touch. Technicals: spot on. A striking difference from last year. Well done!

Beautiful anniversary post that really looks like the ideal location to lay one's stress. The gentle slop to the trail with is soft shadows and lovely frame of blazing aspens looks most inviting. The deep blue sky and peek of the snow capped mountains is the perfect backdrop for this trail of tranquility.

Ol� John, gorgeous Autumn image to commemorate one year on TE. 242 posts is quite an impressive number, I have to tell you. Excellent curved diagonal starting from the corner. The game of shadows on the way, the amazing yellows on the trees and the glance of the mountain peak in the dark blue sky, makes this a marvellous image to look at. Congratulations.

Anyway what a marvelous way to celebrate. it's a true firework of sparklilng colors agaist a sky that impossible can be higher. one of trhe best autumn pictures this year and with a slight omen about what to came in the snowcoverdmountain peak far behind.

One year..

Nice, now that I realise..I am too!
Lovely photo, I like the autumn colours! They are so John! Like the golden tones a lot! Good polarized sky and attractive lightning. The light on the leaves of the trees is like magic..combined with the dark sky..very strange. The shadows of the trees on the road are nice too..creating depth, just as the curving road itself.
Nice work..continue on John..I'll follow from a distance ;) should post some soon too!

One shined capture has here. The colors are brilliants and admirables. The shadows projected in the small highway gave a very good graphism. The great blue of the sky emphasized the whole picture and bringing the colors of the trees for a closer position of the observer. Well done, regards, Consuelo
