Photographer's Note

Driving south from Boston, headed to Texas, I pulled off the Interstate and onto the Skyline Drive. This is a beautiful stretch of road with many rewarding vistas...but one of the strongest memories I have is of the fragrance of the air. In the midst of all the quiet and peacefullness, millions of busy bees go about collecting the pollen and nectar from countless flowers, just like the one I captured here...

I like this shot, the colours are good, focus is good and DOF is good. I even like the way the flower top is cropped off.

Lovely flower with the bee. Nice sharp close-up with it's blurred background. On my part I would have preferred that we could see all of the flower.

I like the composition very much. You have managed to create an energy to this shot that would not be there if it was cropped another way. I like the story between the bee and the ant. Great shot!
