Photographer's Note
Well it has been some time since I have been on TE. We have been very lucky to have been out and about taking photos, and not stuck on the computer for a change.
Inspired by Peter and Ruth (mozzy27) we finally made it to Mungo NP. The recent floods did not help, and we did'nt think we would get through at one stage, but the 4wd we hired did not let us down. We made it the night of the full moon, so we managed to get one good night, before heading off to the Flinders Ranges in SA. We had to be very carefull walking around the area as the recent rains had washed all the sand dunes and left exposed bones and fossils on the ground, to see all the fossils of the ages makes one feel very insignificant.

Good to see you both back on TE Mike and Gail - I was beginning to think we'd lost you somewhere on one of your trips.
Superb night time shot from one of my favourite places - must get the again as my last visit was with film and they haven't scanned very well.
cheers
Ian

Hello Mike & Gail
this is a fascinating thumbnail and does not disappoint full size. So atmospheric and beautiful. Love the burnt colours which stand out so well under the moonlight. Captivating!
Wishing you a peaceful weekend - Brian.

Hello Mike,
Of your two great pictures of the desert under the moonlight I prefer this one, surely because of the dark blue sky, and this incredible twisted tree... We're not so far from a Tim Burton's movie ! I appreciate that the colors are still intense despite of the darkness, well done ! A fantastic natural setting.
Thanks !
best regards,
Pendragon
