Mungo Full Moon, a photo from New South Wales, East

Photographer's Note

Time for one last photo before heading back to the cabin at the station, where we were staying overnight. The weather was perfect this night, and when we turned around the sunset behind was staggering. As stated in previous photo, we were quite restricted in where we walked, as fossils and bones had been washed up, with the very heavy rains that had washed the moonscape.

Gidday Mike 'n' Gail,

Great to see you back here again after quite some time!

In fact, I see that you uploaded another picture from this same place at the beginning of this month - I must comment on that one soon.

The colours here are just fantastic and the full moon is an added bonus as is the dead tree atop the rocks on the right. Beautiful lighting, perfect exposure and, as usual, great clarity and sharpness.

I'm looking forward to seeing more photos from your recent exploits!

Its been worth the wait !

What a delightfully 'other worldly' shot !

As I gather from your note this is looking back at the sun, you have done well to keep so much colour in the rocks, against the still bright sky.

I look fwd to seeing more of this exciting place - er places - you have been to over the summer - er winter...

Hi Mike,
This photo has an unreal quality to it, with the reddish colours and stark shapes of the land and the odd twisted plant. The moon is nicely placed too. The timing with the full moon was well planned, or was it just good luck?
