Opera House hallucination, a photo from New South Wales, East

Photographer's Note

The Sydney Opera House as it might appear in some drug-induced hallucination. This photo was taken in the Vivid Sydney Festival in 2017. During the festival the Opera House has ever-changing light patterns illuminating it, making it seem to take on different shapes. Other parts of the city are also lit up during the festival.

I've got photos of this year's Vivid but they'll have to wait until I've finished with photos of my recent outback expedition (Flinders Ranges and Lake Eyre still to come).
A good classic Opera House Vivid photo from a year that we didn't go. Great colour, well captured.

Fantastic shapes and colours. Those illuminations look amazing and make Sydney Opera House even hard to recognise. Excellent sharpness and clarity. The colours stand out so well from the dark night sky.

Isn't it wonderful how lights can be used to illuminate buildings these days?
