Seeing the smaller boat helps add some perspective, gives us an idea of scale.

Maybe I'd have preferred to see the whole of the front of the ship, possibly with the person (is that a person?) to your left included but that's a minor thing.

Nice Aussie blue skies and water and a great backdrop of the bridge! Interesting photo - Happy New Year!

Hi Murray, this is a good shot of the Pacific Princess taken from a great perspective. Were you on a ferry, or one of the docks for this one. You've composed it well with the bridge in the background. Nice blue skies in March eh?

A nice photo of this cruise boat beside the harbour bridge, it was use to celebrate the New Year with fireworks seen on TV today. The photo has a good composition, DOF and nioce colors. Happy New Year 2007 to you and your family.

Maybe it's hard to judge looking only at the photo, but I think that Silya Line ferry "Europa" is bigger. But anyway, it's an amazing ships, really... And also sinking amazingly quickly and with amazing amount of victims. Ha-ha, just a nice New Year joke.

Hi Murray!!

this huge cruise ship was built in Monfalcone, a town in northern Italy one hour far from my place. We are proud toi be able to build such ships!! And you show it in a very good perspective in the harbor.

I photographed one similar ship in Venice, you can see it because I posted the picture.
