Photographer's Note
Perhaps this shot gives a better idea of scale? Beyond the second bridge at left, are a group of people in blue jeans & tops. They look like ants against the 2 massive domes of Walpa Gorge, in Kata-tjuta (formerly known as the Olgas). There are 36 of these domes, some rising to almost 1,800 feet above the surrounding plain.
Taken with my old film camera. I've dodged the shadows at left.

Hi Chris,
An exciting Australian outback scene and the real impact of this shot is the strong colour and tonal contrast which make it really pop out and interesting. I also love the textural display in the foreground and the white helped to guide us around this composition.Indeed a good shot of this lovely place.

Hi Chris,
I remembering walking down Walpa Gorge years ago. It was a very impressive drive rounding the Olgas on the road between them and Uluru. From memory there was an interesting series of rock pools in this gorge that was visited by many native finches and parrots when I was there. Great, classic contrasting colours between the rock and sky.

Bonjour Chris,
photo où l'orange domine, des lumières fortes pas facile à maitriser si on veut épargner les zones d'ombres. Ici, le compromis est presque parfait.
Le coin de ciel bien bleu indique une belle journée pour les balades.
Regards.
Daniel.

Hello Chris,
The contrasting light and shaded areas bring out the fine composition of the shot, whilst the strongly positioned bride makes a great guide, through the photo to that beckoning 'v' gorge.
You are right, the scale is immense and the presence of the figures help us to understand this.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello Chris,
Again, this landscape is spectacular. The composition is skillfully made with the "V" between the cliffs lit differently. The quality is very good. bravo.

Hi Chris,
The distance between the bridge and the rocks is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the bridge and of the rocks. The quality of the light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Bonjour Chris
C'est impressionnant toute cette lumière qui découvre une grande partie du paysage et cette ombre qui en cache la moitié. Un très beau contraste.

hi Chris,
Another piece of Utah in Australia. Amazing scenery. It looks very hot there. Still some plants can live here. Nice inclusion of tourists.

Hi Chris
Good us of the people and bridge to show the scale and good work with the film camera and scanning. Just enough detail created by your dodging.
cheers

Il contrasto vivacizza la foto e crea la differenza .
L'elemento umano da la proporzione e la storia aiuta a capire .
Un mondo a parte ..... meglio cosi .
Vivono bene e forse meglio turisti "con discrezione" .

Hello Chris.
The CPL works well bringing out good saturation and details in this shot. Love the contrasting details of the red earth against the spotless blue sky.
Thanks and have a nice day.
