Photographer's Note
Was able to take this hand held shot with the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lense. It probably wouldn't have come out without the image stabilizer. (Bear with me, I'm just trying justify all the money I blew on this lense :)

This is a fantastic tight composition wherein the iconic Sydney Opera House is abstracted, but still recognizable. The pattern in the roof tile and the black railing add graphic interest and texture. The couple is perfectly positioned off-center, and you selected a perfect moment where they are engaged with each other, but are still distinct figures with recognizable expressions even from the far vantage point.

Nice shot Mike. It is very interesting to me to see the close up of that famous roof structure. Your composition is faultless.

I am the guy on this picture !!!
No I'm kidding. Sorry... The picture is so nice and this couple seems to enjoy the place and time so spontaneously...
Nice shot !

just discovered this one and I dont know what you spent on that lens but it seems to be worth every penny.. although I hate it when people look at photos and only credit the camera or the lens ;-). Excellent shot!

I've seen so many photographs from this Opera House but never like this. Great and original.
