While on a trip to Canberra, I managed to find my way onto the roof of Parliament House. It would have been about 10 or 11 in the morning and the sun was creating some nice angles ad shadows. As I walked around the flag pole, I looked up and saw this. I thought it was neat. A bit about PH from wikipedia:

It was opened on 9 May 1988 by Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia. Its construction cost was over $1.1 billion. At the time of its construction it was the most expensive building in the Southern Hemisphere. Prior to 1988, the Parliament of Australia met in the Provisional Parliament House, which is now known as "Old Parliament House".

Hello Craig,
This is a nice POV of that huge stainless steel structure spaning between the Houses, definitely one of the most prominent landmark on the Capital Hill. You did well in avoiding any lens flare when the sun was right behind the structure. Some details are retained despite the silhouette shot. Composition is good too.

Hi Craig,
This is really a great shot, I like the composition very much, the silhouette give a sense of abstraction, like a peace of modern sculpture. I like the light that is shinning through it. Love the deep and well saturated blue, but still very natural. Great sharpness, well managed light. I love it. Thanks, my complements, and Happy New Year.

good silhouette and interesting angle. what makes this work (for me) is that the details on the flag are visible.
