Photographer's Note
This is the first lookout (Karu) at Kata Tjuta, Valley of the Winds walking track (formerly known as 'the Olgas'). Just looked at tomorrow's forecast, and it's a comfortable 34c. January temperatures can reach 50c so best to do any touring early morning or at dusk. Or come in July / August as I did, with 0-20c temperatures.
There are 36 rocky domes in Kata-tjuta, and you can see several of them from this vantage point.

Hello Chris,
This reminds me of Death valley National Park. Beautiful warm colors with red tones of the rocks. A nice spot for photographers. A lovely warm and sunny day.

Hi Chris,
The distance between the informsation sign and the horizon is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the Valley of the Winds. The quality of the light is giving nice tints to the colors. Have a nice day.

Do you think Australia and Arizona were once connected? This look so much like Arizona desert. Good pov and dof with sharp details. Great lighting and wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

Hello Chris,
Your details show a very rocky terrain, possibly creating difficult walking conditions, quite unlike anything that we experience. The light looks very strong, despite the long shadows, which suggest the right time for photography. I remember someone from Australia commenting on the enviable, soft light in England. I think I understand what they meant, now.
Your shot is well composed, the features being strongly positioned, and with the shaded slope terminating on the strong, horizontal thirds line.
Have a lovely w/e,
Bev :-)

Hello Chris,
This is such a stunning view of the unique landscape. The Valley of the wind looks good during Australian winter and that rocky domes are well seen in the frame.
Thanks and kind regards.
