Photographer's Note

Kalimina Gorge in Karijini National Park is tucked away from the main gorges visited by most people and so gets fewer visitors. That is pity - it is one of the most easily accessed gorges and whilst the sides aren't as high as in some gorges there are beautiful pools and very colourful walls and slabs of rock and stones of the gorge floor.
This photo shows off the wall colour - reds and deep blues, with the blues coming from the iron ore that is throughout the region.
This small tree hanging on, with its exposed roots, for all its worth must also love the colour! It looked to me as though it was some sort of fig tree.
