Photographer's Note

This is a shot of the underside of Lorne Pier. Lorne is a coastal town, part of the way along the Great Ocean road that follows the southern coastline of the state of Victoria.

The Great Ocean Road is approximately 150 miles long and was built by soldiers returned from the first world war as a way to create employment for them. The road is dedicated to those who died in WW1 and is considered to be the world's largest war memorial. It is a winding road with spectacular views, scenery and many landmarks along the way.

The Great Ocean road has become a massive tourist attraction as people travel the length of it in camper vans. Lorne is one of many stopping off points along the way with some great restaurants.

Enjoy.
