Rainbow lorrikeets are pretty attractive birds, irresistable to photographers, but very noisey!

I found this one in Yarra Bend Park, showing off to a potential mate.

We get those in Brisbane too. Good use of a shallow dof with perfect timing and sharpness on the rainbow lorikeet. Tfs!

What an incredibly colourful bird. You captured it seated perfectly on a twig while showing off its fantastic wings. If there is a God creator she obviously has a sense of playful design.

We get visited by a mob of them just once a year when a particular bottle brush is in flower. A good one of the lorikeet displaying its colours.

Hello Steve,
I read your messages in the Forum and visited the website you mentioned and posted a photo on it. It looks good at first glance and it may be a good alternative if TE dies.
This beautiful colorful photo also deserves a place on a good photo site. Preferably a long TE but just in case ......

Hi Steve,

This is a great action shot, showing the colours on the underside of the wings. The rainbow colours are well portrayed here, and the sharpness is impressive. We get plenty of these birds in our yard, but they usually hang out in the tops of the trees so we don't often see them this close. Of course we hear them loud and clear.
