Photographer's Note
Images of this geological feature have already been posted here. Just thought that I ought to share my view of this particular tasmanian tourist "icon".
The patterns that you can see have been carved out and deposited by the tidal action of the sea.
A fascinating place to visit, for sure!

Beautiful colours here Peter, and I like your composition with the pavement filling the foreground.
I also like how the sunset is reflected in the tip of the pavement.
It's an interesting looking place, I don't think I've seen anything quite like this before.
Good work.

Dear Peter,
Nice posting.
I thought it to be the cement slab.
Difficult to believe.
You are lucky to visit the place
Best wishes

Great shot. I love the way you've captured the movement of the water giving it a an icy look, despite the richness and warmth of the colours.
nicely done

Hi Peter,
I think that your view of the Tasmanian tourist icon is beautiful. When I visited this spot a few years ago I wasn't lucky enough to see it with the sun setting. It is a glorious photo, thank you for sharing it with us.
Cheers,

Very interesting rock formation, smooth as glass almost, and reflecting the sunset superbly. I love the perspective along the lines in the 'bricks' pointing towards the headland with its 'island' (if that is what it is). Anyway, this one has excellent tonality and definition. Must go to Tassie again, asap.

Andrew

Terrific shot, Peter. I've visited this place, but at the wrong time of day to be able to make much from it photographically (midday). The reflected sunset is stunning - well done!
