Wow! I get the feeling i'm in a wee dinghy with this monster heading straight for me...!
Great point of view on this shot, Murray, and it's hard for us to grasp the full scale. However the quayside does add perspective and good stats in your note.

Yes all of that! AND she was in HALIFAX, NS not too long ago! I found her boring as compared to the Wind Spirit, especially while the msy was furling her sails! But thanx for sharing this PoV! Jay.
PS Is the QM2 still in port?

Ahhh... she's arrived in Sydney. We were lucky to enjoy her visit to Auckland over the weekend... have a look at dauntless111 and his photos of QM2.
Was it a great celebration with both QE2 and QM2 in port?!

Hello Murray,
Not one but two photos of the Q.M.2
Fantastic photo,as said to Jplumb as ex seafarer, love these photos.
Sydney harbour looks great in the blue skies above, and dark hull of the ship.
Changed days from my first visit to Sydney 1957, cargo ship, we tied up beside the Bridge,
fond memories, brought back by your photo.
Thanks for sharing.
Greetings from Scotland.
Rob.

Nice big perspective! I got tonnes of photos of her in Auckland on Saturday, amazing ship, I noticed that your photo has quite a lot of colour noise on the hull though, did you increase the saturation quite a bit?

She really fills my screen, Murray! But here too, I would have liked a little more space in front of her than behind

Looks like today is QM2’s day. Second photo of this beautiful ship and they are both excellent. This POV shows well how big the ship is. Your note is good and full of info. Well done.

Ah she is a beauty isn't she, and you've got a nice close shot of her, and with good lighting. You've got a very nice point of view. Very well done Murray.
Thanks, John

This one is even better. POV from the sea lets us compare the ship with the terminal building. The angle from beneath upwards adds a lot to her natural grandeur.
Thanks, Murray!

Hi Murray,
What a huge ship is there! You excellently captured this beauty in wonderful colors and contrasts at front of small (!) city. Congratulations.

Hi Murray, The POV is marvellous & the DOF very good indeed, you look at the size of the people next to the ship & it gives a fantastic prospective of how big this ship really is, the colours & light are superb & a great shot, TFS, kind regards Wilson.
