Photographer's Note
The sea is over 5 meters and if I were on the sailing boat I would be sea sick. I am happy to be on dry land!

Great shot, that's seems so unreal with this terrific wave.
The picture is very sharp and the light is perfect.
Well done Richard

A 5m swell is OK, I got caught in a 20m swell in the Atlantic between St Lucia and Martinique - now that was not fun, and the only time I have been sea-sick.
You picture captures so well both the power of the sea and the scale of it as well. The waves breaking in the foreground provide such dramatic detail, which is then complemented by the serenity of the yacht in the distance. Colour, composition, point of view, everything just comes together in a way that conveys what it is like to be by the sea.

Magnifique !

You have a lot of interesting wave pictures. I love this one, because of teh different layers you included: the sky; the deep blue, calm sea; the spray caused by the wave; the green-white and dynamic wave and the stones. Strange that you haven't got more points. Regards, Yvonne
