Anachronism, a photo from Bay of Plenty, North Island

Photographer's Note

Rotorua.
Remove the girl and this could be a snapshot of the world as it was 75 million years ago.
Much of New Zealand's flora is largely unchanged since the time of the dinosaurs. Combine that with the brooding geothermal lake and you have this primordial scene, caught in the 21st Century.
But is this place the real anachronism? Or are we, humans, the ones who are out of place, as recent newcomers to this ancient world?

Hi Rew,
An image that gives me mixed emotions. She is beautiful. Still her pose makes this essentially a tourist snapshot. You seem to think something along the same lines in your note. The background is so effective, that I would prefer it without any sign of human presence. But a green for you of thought provoking.
