Hi Geraldina, welcome to the site.
I think I'd call this one "In the Right Place at the Right Time (with Camera)". Excellent capture!
I'll suggest a few possible improvements in the post processing. First a slight rotation to the left. The ground looks a bit less than one degree out of level to my eye.
Run the picture through a noise reduction program (e.g., Neat Image) to smooth out the sky.
Then sharpen to increase the contrast between the smoothness of the sky and the jagged line of the ground.
If you'll enable 'Workshop' I'll post my version for your consideration.
Overall, an excellent shot!

Nice shot! Your caption made me laugh too :-) My only criticism comes from post processing rather than the original image itself - there are some nasty JPEG artifacts in the sky (higher quality setting would be good, possibly use Neat Image first though), and the contrast would benefit from being nudged upwards to knock the sheep into full silhouette IMHO.

You've been very luck in capturing this shoot.
I love the contrast between the land, bush and sheep with the sky and the rainbow.
I would try to raise a little the saturation of the colors and to remove the noise from the pic.
Very good shoot, compliments!

So NZ. The composition also says "space" due to the way you frame it. Sheep and space. Yep, that's NZ ;-)

Great shot, the composition places the sheep in the perfect spot. I love the effect of the silhouette and the large open space. Shame about the scanning, but it's neat that you have a great print, it's definitely one that would look fantastic on the wall.

LOL. this shot is great. i got a good laugh out of it.
i'd turn up the contrast a bit... but maybe that's just me and my contrast obsession.
congrats on the great timing. :)

I always thought there is supposed to be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow (according to the legend) - but I guess it is a sheep ;-) Surprise, surprise! Great shot

Great shot. I agree with Bob and Adrian about post processing.
The Title is great, and the sheep indeed is a treasure giving the picture it's uniqueness, and placing it in the winners stand.

Hi,
Really nice photo. I like the contrast between the dark colours of the trees and the sheep and the rainbow.
Normally i use to say that in the end of the rainbow is a pot filled with gold. That is a nice story that makes kids dream. But watching this picture made me think that or in stead of a pot filled with gold is a sheep (and you took a picture of her), or the sheeps also know about the story of the pot!!!
Take care

I won't take away credit from you for this super cool photograph(one need to be a genius to get something close to this); but I see a lot of suggestion and comments about the quality of the picture they are quite correct to some extend but somehow I feel this is a work of good smart cropping technique, I mean perhaps you have cropped this out of a bigger photograph and hence the low quality. All set and done great work... keep it up!
