Small lake at the beginning of the Roberts Point Track near Franz Josef Glacier. From this lake to the Franz Josef village the path went through a wonderful rainforest. rainforest. Unfortunately, there were low clouds that covered the peaks of Southern Alps.

This is real a wonderful mirror image with the reflections in water.
But a nice picture excellent photographed.

Hello Malgo,
This photo probably benefits from a tight crop to hide the low clouds. It's enough to see a glimpse of the steep mountainsides in the background. Now the composition entirely focuses on the lake and surrounding trees. The reflections are remarkable. It's rare to see a surface of water so totally calm. There's a nice contrast between the trees and the yellow grass closest to the water. The colours are strong but natural.

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the trees, of the vegetation and of the reflections. The light is bringing out the colours. Have a nice day.

Hello Malgo,

You saw something I missed! I did get to see Trident Falls and land in a ski plane on the summit of the glacier high in the Southern Alps. This mirror lake reminds me of the Canadian Rockies. Fantastic reflections and sharpness with superb color. Tfs!

si tratta di un vero e proprio specchio, hai ragione, non si vedono le montagne, ma proprio per questo avrei tagliato anche quella piccola parte che hai lasciato, l'effetto sembra pi� simile a un vero e proprio specchio.

milo bylo uslyszec cie na zywo, mozna wtedy uslyszec wiecej niz w notkach i komentarzach...
Ale to piekne miejsce!! Bardzo ladnie przycialas widok -uwaga naturalnie zwraca sie na jezioro. Rzeczywiscie z tym lekko owanym ksztalem przychodzi na mysl lustro.
Prawie tak ladne jak Smreczynski Staw w Tatrach :)
Te paprocie na pierwszymplanie bardzo ladnie dekoruja scenke.
W ogole swiatlo i kolory sa wspaniale -rzeczywiscie to byla chyba przeciez jesien...
Franz Josef jakos mi nie pasuje do tej czesci swiata ale pewnie inni mysla to samo o Gorze Kosciuszki :)

What a beautiful, natural view. The water is so still, and the reflection is flawless. I personally would have included more of the mountains in the background, but I understand that you chose to focus on the lake, which is a lovely subject on its own. I can almost feel the crisp, clean air and serenity of this spot through your photo.
