Photographer's Note
In 1900 a stone obelisk was put up in memory of those who died in the Brunner mine explosion. One hundred years after the disaster, in 1996, this statue was erected at Brunner, recording the names of those who died in the explosion and others who perished from mining accidents
All the names of 65 coal miners who perished was mentioned.
Rest in Peace, Miners!

Hi Chian,
Sad story, but a very beautiful monument to remember these unlucky souls. I really like the smooth texture of the stone that it is made from, and it looks excellent against the lush background. Great composition too.
All the best
Noel
