Photographer's Note

Somewhere on highway 6, after Hokitika and on the way to Franz Joseph Glacier. I liked very much the contrary impressions that the bucolic picture in the foreground made in contrast to the clouds' convulsions over the heads of the distant mountains.Much of New Zealand has this merging of the cultivated and the virtually untouched.

Great image, I really like the low hanging dark cloud.
So very New Zealand, I have a similar (but not as good as yours) image from the West Coast.

I like a lot this kind of bucolic view. The weather conditions add interest to the scene , with the low clouds and some games of light and shade on the moutains in the BG .

Indeed tamed for a part but still very wild on the background.
Beautiful and impressive countryside.
The light on the mountain slopes on the background is very beautiful and the diagonal line of the dark forested hill at the left helps for the attractive composition.

The mountains and cloudy sky provide a nice backdrop for this lush green foreground which creates a great feeling of depth in this picture. The resting cows with their warm colour contrasting with the intense green of the grass add to the calmness of the image.A fine landscape shot.

Une tr鋊 belle composition. Le point de vue sur le troupeau est excellent et nous donne tout un arri鋨e plan. Les nuages tr鋊 bas ajoutent une touche de dramatique � l'ensemble.

Hello Klaudio. What a beautiful and peaceful landscape. Everything is as quiet as on a Sunday morning. The landscape with cows reminds me of the Alpine foothills in Bavaria. I like the photo very much because it has a lot of atmosphere.
