McLean Falls, a photo from Southland, South Island

In Southland (NZ) there are quite a few waterfalls with this one, McLean Falls, probably being the prettiest. Taken on a slow shutter speed for the smooth water effect for those of you who like that effect.
In the WS is a photo of the rainforest that you walk through to get to the falls.

Hello Ian,
I usually prefer water looking like water and not like milk, but I admit you created a very nice and smooth effect here. The trees in the WS are also quite fascinating.
Regarding Bhutan you don't have to climb any steep slopes unless you booked a trekking tour. I had made arrangements for a cultural tour and was brought everywhere by car. Everything can be arranged according to the customer's preferences.

Lovely photograph! I like waterfalls but unfortunately there are no waterfalls in my neighborhood. Well choosen shutterspeed (not too long and not too short - just enough to emphasize water flow without making it too silky at the bottom part of the waterfall; not to mention good sharpness overall!). Hello Ian,
I've always liked the silky effect of a long exposure on water, and here you have beautiful falls to use that technique with. I like the difference of flow between the more vertical drop in the background, and the "steps" in the foreground. The greenery is pretty, too. It must have also sounded and smelled nice. Take care!

Hi Ian,

I haven't heard of these falls. They are beautiful with the upper fall surrounded by green forest and the lower terraced cascades. I very much like the silky effect of the slow shutter speed. Great sharpness and composition.

marvelous the two levels of the falls with an intense beauty and I liked in special the silk effect in the compo, my camera isn't able to do this.
