Photographer's Note
This is an interesting geographic spot , "Hito Argentino de las Tres Fronteras", a vantage point at the most northern extremity of Misiones Province in Argentina. It's where the Paraná (at left) and Iguazú (at right) rivers meet and it has views over Brazil (at right) and Paraguay (at left). The place is marked by an obelisk (WS) painted in the colours of the Argentine flag; similar markers across the rivers in the neighbouring countries are painted in their national colours, too.
The center of the tranquile town of Puerto Iguazú is about 2km from this spot and the famous Iguazú Falls are about 20km to the right of this image.
---------
From Rough Guide to Argentina:
"PUERTO IGUAZÚ, just under 300km northeast of Posadas, is a strange place. Its tropical vegetation and quiet streets seem more in keeping with the region than the high-rise concrete of the Brazilian city of Foz, but while the town's tranquillity provides a restful contrast to the goings-on just over the border, it also really lacks anything that would make you want to stay here for longer than necessary. Consequently, few tourists seem to do anything more than move between hotel, restaurant and bus terminal, and the town wears a slightly resigned air, to say the least – be prepared for an alarming number of barefoot street kids trying to persuade you to spare them a peso or two. That said, it has a certain simple charm that can grow on you, and of the three border towns (the commercial settlement of Ciudad del Este in Paraguay, notoriously unsavoury and unsafe, is definitely best avoided) Puerto Iguazú is the only one to have a really secure and accessible riverfront area from which you can take in the surrounding panorama."

Ah I see that's the South American Golden Triangle, I hope it will not be the same business as in the real Golden Triangle Burma, Thailand and Laos, heroin and since lately human trafficking. Your spot looks also much more green and the river seems to be much deeper as the one in South East Asia. Your shot really is a symphony of green and blue hues with great sharpness. Well done

Hi Ric, Interesting point with the river and the view of the three countries. It reminds me th epoint in the Golden Triangle, where one can see Laos, Thailand and Myanmar separated by the river.

Hi Ricardo,
This view is very beautiful! The rivers are curving nicely and the red roof below makes a fine accent. The branch in the foreground gives a good depth also.
Kind regards

Hello Ricardo,
A strategic and geographical point of view interesting as your note underlines it. A pretty panorama on this large river and his green environment, I like the good light and pleasant contrasts. The vegetation on the left of the image balances the composition. Well done Ricardo and thank you for the complementary photograph.
With all my friendships of Versailles where the wind rises… and very good Sunday,

Ricardo,

Bonito trabajo, amigo.
Um abraço,
Josep
