Winter Reflections, a photo from Buenos Aires, South

Photographer's Note

Last Friday was also a sunny day, but cold and windy
Along the Riachuelo (polluted small river at one side of Buenos Aires) I saw this special scene, birds enjoying sun on a kind of filter to collect trash

All was quiet till a boat crossed it and produced some golden waves

Hello Maria,

A very interesting and well composed photo. Your note puts the scene into context. Next January we will visit Iguazu Falls, but from the Brazilian side. Unfortunately, we will not get the opportunity to visit Argentina.

Hello Maria nice scene with reflections. I wonder what winter and cold means to you. At the moment in Norway it is summer and ten degrees, and I see patches of snow
nearby.

i riflessi sono molto belli, grazie alla colorazione dorata che hanno preso e che ne aumentano l'effetto.
Originali i giochi di linee, verticali nella parte superiore e una grande curva al centro.

Very artstic and poetis image in the best framework and composition image. Many seagails are nicely taken and background timber ladders ar so nice with getting winter's warm and weak sun light.

Nice moment caught, Mria, the seagulls gave life to the reflection scene.
Fine colors cast over all of the pic. space.
Good decision to add the wooden barrier atop of the image.

Hello Maria,
As long as we don't actually see the trash, the filter makes a very elegant curve, ideal for a photo along with the birds sitting on it. The golden waves are very beautiful and the light is also shining nicely on the wooden poles that create a fine background. You made a very good observation of the beauty of simplicity.

Wonderful reflections, so well seen in the small waves along the quay. The warm colours of them and the wood are in lovely contrast with the blue of the water. The gulls add interest to the foreground.

Attractive water scene for the wood pier pilings mirrored and intersected on the gold highlighted ocean surface, then a giant snake like perch curving through the foreground, occupied by gulls.

Hello Maria,
I am assuming what we see at the top are the stilts of a pier. The repeating patterns of those stilts and their reflections are quite nice. The waves from the passing boat have made the reflections even more interesting.

The filter looks like a giant serpent basking in the sun :-)
I like the alternating light and shade thanks to the wake of the water...and enhanced by the graphic effect of the reflection of the wooden pier
