Boca, a photo from Buenos Aires, South

La Boca,
primer puerto de Buenos Aires � donde se asentaron grandes contingentes de inmigrantes. Mi lugar preferido � un centro de una rica actividad artistica. Principales lugares son: calle Caminito /una zona mas pintoresca de la ciudad/, Bombonera /estadio del club Boca Juniors, todos 𡤧onecomos� a Diego Armando Maradona/, puente sobre Riachuelo � ah, que rio, que olor, que lastima. En la Boca nacio Benito Quinquela Martin, un pintor maravilloso y reconocido en numerosos exposiciones internacionales. Tenia oportunidad para ver sus cuadros en el Museo de Bellas Artes. Fundacion Proa, donde tenia oportunidad a ver cuadros y esculturas de un gran pintor Mexicano Diego Rivera... Muy cerca esta Parque Lezama, lugar vinculado con un gran escritor argentino Ernesto Sabato y su gran libro 廍obre heroes y tumbas�...
Lamentablemente, ciudadanos de este lugar no son tan feliz como gente que estan en el norte de ciudad.

a great street scene, a very realistic one for Boca... i would have increased contrast a bit and might have tried to remove/clone some of the wall imperfections (too many of them are distracting to the eye)

but 2 points for originality

Disagree with Olga (except of her first sentence). What she doesn't like for me expresses a "genius loci" - faded colors, dirty wall with writings... BTW note that the table "Public Library" seems to be relatively new, untouched, looks clean, as well as its red beckground, contrast there couldnt be increased. To me the only imperfection is merging of the girl's left side of figure with the frame of the closed window, but don't mind it, Bolivar, it's just to write some critique. On the contrary - maybe it works for overall impression (as usually do such imperfections)

Hi, Bolivar, great street scene.
I agree about contrasts.. you could increase and saturate colors, IMO.
But it愀 well seen and done.

Strange biblioteca, Milomir ! and nice shot, the composition made by the definitely closed library, the girl and the dog in a very poor area is very surrealistic ...

I must disagree strongly Carmen. Too many images are over-saturated. I like the subdued colours here. I can't help wondering what she is looking at, though. And it's a pity she blends with the upright, but sometimes we have to take what we can get.

A Argentina e inesquecivel, da ultima vez n緌 tive tempo de ir em La Boca, mas com o colorido e as cenas tipicas que essa foto transmite da para conhecer um pouco deste famoso lugar. Un fuerte abrazo Milomir.

Very nice picture, It's a pity regarding the Library that looks so abandoned.
But is always good to see pictures from this colorful neighborhood.

Hola Milomir... me encanta, como todos opinan, y creo que pocos visitaron La Boca!
Ah, mucha razon tienes en la parte final de tu nota... si el norte fuera el sur. En realidad, en la Boca lo ven los turistas, porque es el unico lugar que visitan aparte de Recoleta y Plaza de Mayo, y por eso, es mas evidente el estado en el que se vive....

Pero bueno, no es de politica que quiero comentar!
En realidad, me gusta como encuadraste una escena muy cotidiana... es mas, dudo que ella sea una "ella", si me entiendes...

Me gusta que muestres algo mas que los lindos colores que tienen La Boca (lamentablemente, los olores tambien queda de recuerdo)

No estoy seguro acerca del contraste o si algo de saturaci鏮 de color habr燰 mejorado algo . Lo que es imposible de mejorar es el ambiente porte隳 en esa estampa argentina de calle , cemento y sangre que canta Calamaro , incluso polvo . La composici鏮 es desgarradoramente po彋ica , real y decadente . Preciosa foto ! Me gusta la calle y las fotos de la calle que abren un lugar al mundo , como 廥ta
