Independence day, a photo from Buenos Aires, South

Argentina, Buenos Aires, July, 9th of 2007.
Historic Independence day because of snow since more than 80 years.

The photo is taken in the front gallery of the 'El Cabildo' - the city hall where the indepence was signed in 1916.

A women is selling flags and pins in National colors but because of the time of day - afternoon - and the cold hardly no-one is buying. Bored she is checking on messages on her cellphone.

An interesting and an a bit thoughtful making photo which tells a story. Not many people would have noticed this little scene - you did - and you pressed the button!

I loved the photo and the story!
So funny I used to have a coat exactly like the one she is wearing!, leather outside, very thick natural wool inside. Very warm but not too flattering...
