PAL磷IO DA ALVORADA
DAWN'S PALACE

I took this picture when I first visited Bras璱ia back in 2008! That's the PAL磷IO DA ALVORADA / DAWN'S PALACE, "the official residence of the President of Brazil. It is located on a peninsula by the Parano� Lake. The building was designed by Oscar Niemeyer and built between 1957 and 1958 in the modernist style. It has been the residence of every Brazilian president since Juscelino Kubitschek. The building is listed as a National Historic Heritage Site. (Wikipedia)" Therefore, as I wasn't in any guided visit, I couldn't enter, so I had to take this picture from a certain distance! As I saw the pictures taken by that time, I decided to use this one as a hommage to OSCAR NIEMEYER, one of the greatest architects in the World, interrupting for a while my previous series!

Hi Ney, Nice hommage to the lately dead Oscar Niemeyer. Probably Brasilia was his most famous work. Interesting view of the Presidential Palace. Strange that it is so flat and low.

unusual minimalist shot this. But one that works so elegantly. Love the layers of colours and shapes that make the shot so original and compelling. Well done!

Hello Ney,
The expanse of lawn gives the image depth but I can't help thinking that the composition would be strengthened by cropping a large part of it to produce a panoramic image composed along the rule of thirds. Just a personal point of view. Good technical realisation.

nunca puedo resistirme a las obras maestras de uno de mis arquitectos favoritos.
Me gusta c鏔o has estructurado esta composici鏮, con el incre燢le y funcional dise隳 de Niemeyer, la potencia y la sencillez de sus l璯eas, y su perfecta integraci鏮 en el verdor del parque.
Es un trabajo magn璗ico.
