Photographer's Note

The waters from Gravataí, Sinos, Caí and Jacuí rivers flow into the Delta of the Jacuí which forms the Guaíba Lake. The Guaíba Lake is sorrounded by Porto Alegre, Eldorado do Sul, Guaíba, Barra do Ribeiro and Viamão countries. The main environmental impacts are caused by the untreated sewage runoff from the capital and from the polluted waters of the Gravataí and Sinos rivers. The main economic activities are related to the food, metallurgic and pulp industries.
