The yellow ip�, also known in Brazil as aip�, ip�-branco, ip�-mamono, ip�-manioc, ip�-ouro, ip�-pardo, ip�-vacariano, ip�-tobacco, ip�-do-cerrado, ip�-dourado, ip�-da-serra, ipezeiro, pau-d'arco-amarelo, taipoca or just ip� (scientific name: Handroanthus albus) is a tree of the genus Handroanthus. It can reach 30 meters in height and 60 centimeters in diameter, and is deciduous. Yellow flowering begins at the end of August, the species is hermaphrodite, fruiting occurs between September and February, depending on the region, cultivated trees begin to reproduce after three years. The specific name "albus" derives from the whitish appearance of the young leaves.

The tree is fantastic and you placed it in an attractive composition, where the smaller trees, high grass and small clouds are strong elements. The yellow against blue, and the title, reminds us of the present terrible political and human situation.

The bright yellow color of this tree looks very dramatic against the pale, blue sky. I also like the golden reeds growing in the foreground. You were able to find the colors of Ukraine. We are all thinking about the horrors going on there...

Hi Ricardo,
I've never seen such totally yellow tree. It looks great against the blue half cloudy sky. Dry hay in the foreground is a good extra to this colour combination.
