There are dozens of buildings in the bank sector of Brasília city, but the most beautiful is this one.
The Central Bank of Brazil is the bank of the banks, it is a governamental bank ruling the banks, taking care of national economy and currency.
This building was built between 1975 to 1981, it is 101 meters high, being the highest skyscraper in the central Brasília and only the third one in the Federal District, because there are two residential towers in another satellite city. As you will see ahead, the style of this building is very different the original ones that made the city famous because its modernist architecture.
As you can see the building is composed by four giant columns that support eight boxes of dark glass. The symbol of the bank is the view of this building from the air, as you will see in the link bellow:

In FG you can see a part of the second BIG AXIS. The architect who created Brasília project did a cross in the land, a symbolic gesture, imitating the Portuguese taking possession of the land. Few time after someone noticed the project was imitating the shapes of a big plane and the project was named "Project Pilot", The main Axis is the body of the plane, this second big axis is its wings and the pilot cabin is located in the main square where the 3 powers of republic are located.
Brasília is 62 years old today.

Existem vários edifícios no setor bancário de Brasília, mas esse é o mais bonito. O Banco Central do Brasil foi erguido entre 1975 e 1981, com uma altura de 101 metros, sendo o mais alto prédio do Plano Piloto e apenas o terceiro do DF. Reparem que o seu estilo é bem diferente dos prédios pioneiros da cidade.
Como podem ver o prédio é composto por quatro colunas imensas que sustentam oito caixas de vidro fumê. O formato do prédio visto do alto é o símbolo do banco.
No primeiro plano da foto aparece o segundo grande eixo rodoviário da cidade.
Quando o arquiteto LC criou Brasília, traçou duas grandes linhas criando uma cruz, imitando os portugueses ao tomar posse da terra. Depois alguém notou que o projeto lembrava as formas de um avião, sendo que os dois grandes eixos rodoviários eram a fuselagem e as asas e a cabine do piloto corresponderia à Praça dos Três Poderes.
Hoje a cidade faz 62 anos.
