Of course that I would like to dedicate this picture to Kath (feather ) for obvious reasons...
Its just an old simple picture, but when we love the nature we are always looking for simple details, and this attention could be the difference to care about it...

esta vai para o departamento de macros. Como e que voce conseguiu esta aqui? Foi fantasiado de marreco e entrou no lago? espero que colocou um plastico em volta da maquininha para nao levar gotas na parte eletrica. Bela bidimensao do lado de fora da agua, ou seja a superficie, e a parte submersa.

You have captured the feather so well and have shown all its delicacy. I like the way you have shown he vegetation both above and underneath the water. Very clever. Good off-centred composition too.

Hello Jose,

Very simple but very beautiful and very bucolic. I like the contrast between the vertical green and the incurve white pluck. I like also the reflections in the water. Good idea, good work.

great shot perfect quality and great idea.
The water seems to be very clear....well there is some plant trash but you can regocnise the plants unterwater as well.
Nice contrast between the feather and the plants.Well done once again

Hi Jose,

You say a simple old photo but one that is so appealing. The colours of nature here are gorgeous, and the brightness of the large light feather, with all it's intricacy's, contrasts and compares so well with the stronger stalks and the microscopic pond scum! While on one hand here we have just one part of an animal's plumage, on the other there are probably a billion little critters -- many no bigger than a micron in size -- surrounding the plant stems and swirling about in the surrounding detritus.

Now if you had a microscope at your disposal, I wonder if you would still call this shot 'simple'!!
