Photographer's Note

The Fountain of Neptune is a monumental fountain located on the Santa Lucia hill, in the Chilean commune of Santiago Centro, dedicated to the Roman god of the seas, Neptune. It was built between 1897 and 1903 as the main ornamentation of the entrance to the hill from the Alameda, as part of the beautification works of the city. Years later it was placed in the current location during the first century of independent Chile.
