Photographer's Note

No, I didn't make a mistake on the location, this isn't the world famous Cristo Redemptor in Rio de Janeiro but actually the rather smaller replica that stands near Sacsayhuaman on a ridge high above Cusco, Per.

The statue was constructed in 1945 as a gift to the city from its Palestinian community. I tried to make the best out of a stormy March evening in Cusco by darkening the sky around the statue, vignetting the corners and removing what little colour there was in the shot to start with. Hope you like, and please, no comments about "noise", I know it's noisy, let's pretend I wanted it that way!!
