Photographer's Note
Taken today while walking from my work down to my house. For the first time I'm moving closer to a bit "personal" touch in my photos, presentational speaking. In Cambodia I took this picture, and my approach is almost the same. Only this time I had it in mind :)
So go on critiquing everything, and don't be shy. It's the only way for me to improve this "path"...!
PP is by levels, channelmixer and tiny sharpening. Then some small secrets at the time of recording ;)

yup you are terje!!!!
i think you're damn good at this kind of black and white stuff.
youve been getting some awesome tones in some of your recent uploads.
the blur here is not bad
but try for a sharper image next time. i dont know if you intended to get the blur, but it doesnt ruin the photograph.
i love the noise here though. it works really well for me. the contrast is soooooo nice here :)
i hope you click the trolls in this sort of black and white when you find them :)
take care

Hi Terje
You sure put some effort in here, so possible I just don't get it. Nice framing - but else - for me just some blur from an empty playground - as I was to a optical eye test.

It reminds me of an old daguerretype. I like it for its sense of nostalgia. It's got a dreamy feel, like a memory barely held.
Though I don't think this will be to everyone's tastes.
Cheers!

Terje, I will have to be honest that it isn't my taste.
I will try to explain why.
I don't understand the message you are trying to convey in this image. If the playground was suppose to be a happy place than it would be nice to see children playing and having fun, if the message is something else then I am having hard time reading it. Composition wise I don't know what the focal point of the image is, I assume the playground is the focal point, perhaps if you had a chance to shoot it again try to concentrate on either the swing or the slide, focus point may be better defined then.
I also assume that the soft-dreamy effect was intentional, IMO it doesn't ad to the image.
For alternatives I think you may consider shooting when the light is better, to either give your composition good shadows, or fog to create mistical feel to it, and children to give it some life. Since this is close to your home you will have plenty of occasions to shoot and reshoot again, I am looking forward to seeing your future attempts.
