Clouds over Helsinki, a photo from Southern Finland, South

Photographer's Note

Yesterday was cloudy and a bit cold in morning, while i drive the work car (It's a high Van ) , so my point of view is some high , while i stop in traffic i shot this one, in fact this Church is in hard place to get good position to shot , it's really need high point and some far distance ,or you will get all the lens possible distortions.
Of course this is not perfect shot , but i will keep trying ..

Hello Maged,
A fine view of Helsinki with the Orthodox church, proving that you do need always sunshien to produce good colours. The zigzagging clouds add to bring the view to life, but might also promise more rain I am afraid.

Hi Maged,
For this wonderful cloud formation in Maltese we refer to it as 'the wool of the sheep'!
Lighting is fabulous and the church is gloriously lighted!
A nice port scene.

Not perfect but pretty good - the clouds are unreal and the lightship and cathedral are very sharp. I have posted a photo of the Relandersgrund which I took in 2006 and it is interesting to see that the scene is exactly the same now. Tfs, Marlene
