Photographer's Note
an ancient history, this picturesque village of fishermen has been growing in recent years as a nerve center of tourism in this county. Located about 5 km from the town of Lagoa, Carvoeiro offers a series of small beaches cut by rocky cliffs, with clear waters and fine sand, forming paradisiacal places of summer that become suitable for residential tourism that is coming in recent times.
Indeed, since time immemorial it has been the subject of several Carvoeiro attention civilization. In this magnificent stretch of the Algarve coast, where nature has done wonders, the sea was last address to Roman times, victims of naval battles and storms, whose remains found (a block and a Roman anchor) show in their presence.
As a result of the frequent assaults of piracy, many battles were fought along the coast, particularly the battle occurred in 1544 between the squad of D. Pedro da Cunha and the Turkish corsair Xarramet.
According to historical sources, the toponymy of the village have now derived the word "Caboiere, old fishermen's village of Arab origin, medieval, which resist the signs of time, managed to succeed.
Fishing has been, since long time, and wins the support of bread stops lonely.
As happened with other parishes of the county, Carvoeiro also followed the expansion of the canning industry, responsible for the generation of many jobs and wealth, while work in full.
However, from the 60's, the excellent natural conditions, the outbreak led to tourism and the concomitant development of other activities assigned to it.
The solitary stops have become bustling, attractive, filled with people from many different countries on vacation or business will ever flow in greater numbers.
Carvoeiro is a particularly attractive option in terms of tourism to the practice of "sun and beach, golf and water sports. The clipping from the coast, water quality, the climate amenity, the reputation of the golf courses, accessibility and the infrastructure created and the proper occupation of the land in terms of planning, Carvoeiro give the necessary conditions for that claim as one of destinations of quality in the county, looking for national and foreign tourists.
The site of Algar Seco is a real ex-libris of this parish, by all of its smooth rocks which form authentic windows and balconies on the natural sea.
Walking along the sea is the most beautiful trips that can give advice to anyone visiting Carvoeiro discovering not only the beauty of the beaches but also appreciating the evidence that history has left in its architectural heritage, a portal of the old fortress, built in work year 1670 and the Chapel of N ª Sra da Encarnação, a chapel overlooking the sea and believed to building prior to construction of the fortress.

Your really beautiful picture is very attractive. The two puddle of clear water in the foreground then the rocks and finally the sea, excellent capture and execution with great DOF, vivid colors and sharpness. Well done

Beautiful balance of light and shadow here. Good reflections in the water, too, though you might try brushing the highlights a bit to tone them down. I'm not sure what the object in the distance is, but it looks intriguing.

Bem-vindo, ou melhor, bom regresso ao TE.
E para recomeçar a participação nada melhor do que uma bonita foto do que Portugal tem muito, ou seja, uma costa marítima.
Gosto deste ponto de vista baixo com o bom reflexo no ptimeiro plano e gosto também das cores suaves e agradáveis da imagem. uma coisa que podia ter sido corrigida é a ligeira inclinação (0.51 graus) para a esquerda da linha de horizonte.
Já agora, alguma ideia sobre o que é aquilo no horizonte à esquerda?

a superb view, with some nice reflections in the water. I like the separation in two sides: the dark on the left and the luminous in the right. Nice job.
