Yesterday, transexuals walked in Paris for Existran 2011, for the 15 years now.The slogan was this year : "Transphobie d葕tat : pathologisation, st廨ilisation, pr嶰arisation, expulsion." (Transphobia State: pathologizing, sterilization, insecurity, eviction).

The claims are the following ones : depathologization of the trans identity, - the recognition of self-diagnosis and depsychiatrization actual journey - the abolition of compulsory sterilization of trans people as well as medical examinations for their marital status change - a change in family status easy, free and unconditional - respect the free choice of doctor and reimbursement of care - the ability to browse off-center (s) of reference in France and abroad - the absence of criteria admission to enter this (s) Centre (s) - a managed care facility, without "real life test" recommended in the standard of care - the opening of a right of residence and a asylum for trans people, - the recognition of transphobia and discrimination as a factor of insecurity of trans people (school, training, employment, etc.)..

Another version in the ws to see the whole placard. And for the ones who don't read French, it is written : "fagot, cross-dresser, trans, queer, bitch. No it's not my gender. Just Madam"

Hi Fred,
working on weekends after a hard working week is sort of exhausting, but I can't help it now.
I saw this photo much earlier in the afternoon but was too busy to comment on it (let alone the others you've posted recently!)

Anyway, looks like once again I am the first to comment on it. How curiously it happens sometimes...

I should say that this is a very interesting portrait (with a touch of psychology and politics, of course)
You captured enough of the placard to show that it's also a "socio-political" case, and the portrait of the lady is quite enough to make us think while trying to guess what (or who) she is looking at... and maybe what she is thinking about.

In ideal conditions I'd remove that person in the background, but in certain circumstances we have no choice! LOL

Hello Frederic. To photograph a face out from the crowd is an interesting thing. One can read in the face as in a novel. But of course the environment is interesting how your workshop shows. I like the informative text. Rgds, Wolfgang.

un texte qui interpelle,autant que le regard de cette femme.Pour avoir lu quelques livres,et pour avoir eu dans ma classe une fillette qui ne s'acceptait pas en tant que fille,je peux comprendre la detresse et les revendications de ces personnes,ce qu'on retrouve parfaitement dans les yeux de ton mod鋩e,expression qui est autant un d嶨it qu'une determination d'皻re reconnue comme elle l'entend.
