Photographer's Note
I spent a week and a half back in January exploring the California coast. This stretch of the Big Sur coast has many photogenic locations, some of them world class. Other locations I visited weren't due to doing research they were products of deciding to go check something out and see what was there. This particular morning on the coast was exactly that. I had no idea what I was going to find on my hunt to watch the full moon set of over the pacific. I was thrilled to discover these two sea stacks and found that they made excellent subjects on a clear morning.

Hello Mike,
another of your high class uploads, the 8 second exposure has worked its magic on the sea, leveling the swell whilst leaving gorgeous patterns.
The stacks are of course superbly positioned in the composition and the colours mesmerizing.
Best regards Les.

Great shot Mike,
I like silk effect water, obtained with a slow time (0,8 sec), the POV and superb sharpness.
Very, very well done!
TFS!
A nice sunday
Warm regards

Great composition and color. Your choice of exposure making the sea appear glass like makes the rocks jump from the photo.

Hello Mike,
Wow, a wonderful find indeed. The long exposure gives such a wonderful mist to the sea and the colour on the horizon is so wonderfully soft and graduated.those interesting rocks breaking the line of the horizon- splendid.
Thanks for sharing
Kathryn
