The golden road to the party, a photo from Zuid Holland, South

Photographer's Note

Dear friends,

A few weeks ago,I was invited with my wife to join a friends 50th birthday in Numansdorp,located on Hoeksche Waard island in the deep south of the Zuid-Holland province.
We arrived a bit too early in the afternoon in Numansdorp,so we decited to make a little tour on the Island,endless flat potato fields all around,and the rain didnt make it better...
Around 4 in the afternoon suddenly the sun was peeping through the grey clouds for a while,and this lonely old house was a fine welcome,just in time!
We followed the road back to the party,and we had a great night full of Indonesian music and food.
Life is good!

What a gorgeous picture ! The composition is so beuatiful , with the curve of the road on the left , and the house framed by trees on the right . But the most striking is the contrast of the warm autumn colors , with the greeey of the grass , under this superb evening light .

Het herfstlicht zorgt voor een prachtige kleur/gloed en een heerlijk warm gevoel. Je laat hier een prachtig perspectief zien met de curve van de weg die de compositie extra mooi maakt. Het wegje stuurt je blik mooi naar de horizon toe en zorgt voor een mooie diepte. Mooi vastgelegd, een lekker rustig beeld. Niets mis met deze foto !

Magnifique photo de campagne au magnifique couleurs automnales. On se croirait ici au Qu嶵ec. Un beau tableau et j'aime beaucoup le chemin qui se perd au loin et bord� par les cl矌ure.

Dag Jan,

Als fotograaf moet men af en toe eens geluk hebben, dat de zon er door breekt op het monent dat men wil een foto nemen.
De kleuren zijn zeker goed en sterk, maar zeer aantrekkelijk.
Heel mooie hoek keuze, perfect perspectief en diepte foto.
Familie bezoek kan iets moois opleveren.

this is one of those picture perfect postcard type of scenes! hard to find anything wrong at all with this one!

the long road is what really sets the scene up so smartly, that and the warm glow of colors and natural light.

Hello Jan,

You were lucky to have such an opportune change in the weather for, at such times, it usually creates a wonderful light, creating quite iridescent colours, as in this case.
The composition is delightful with good leads and strongly positioned features. There is a good sense of perspective created by the distant trees.

You know, this looks like needlework that has been worked in silk. It would make a great wall hanging!

you have used the lovely light ever so well to compose this fine scene of Autumn,the winding road that curves so nicely past the sun lit trees gives a nice depth to the shot whilst the interesting sky is a perfect backdrop.

Beautiful country road, dirt road even more charming and down to earth. Didn't know there still dirt road in your country :)

The evening light is glorious here, the green field make the autumn trees seem even more gold and red. the pictures looks almost like a classic painting of the famous artists from the impressionistic era.
