So busy man, a photo from Kyoto, Kinki

Photographer's Note

I know him and saw him some times in Kyoto shooting spot. Usualy he has 4 cameras. But yesterday he had 6!
According to him, he does not like zoom lens due to some reasons. But---.

Hi dear Takero. As we say here, "It takes all kinds." Six cameras and a lot of walking if he doesn't use zoom. Must have a sore neck by the end of the day. You say you know him. Are his photos any good considering he has such a choice of cameras? Funny shot, although he doesn't look amused. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Takero,
It's an amusing photo but this man looks a bit too over-dedicated to his hobby. Professional photographers usually try to make their job more rational. To me photography would no longer be any fun at all having six cameras making my neck and back ache.

Many years ago it was generally accepted that prime lenses were much better than zooms. I can only assume that this gentleman still believes that to be true.
Looking closely it seems that most of the cameras are film, not digital, so maybe he's right.

I've done this before, but carried only 2 around my neck, never 6

this is a bit much in my opinion, but it certainly makes for a fun photograph. did you show him the photo after? great capture! cheers

It should take some time to choose which camera he wants to use to make a picture, but maybe he is only a camera seller!
